1. The 4th Australia-China Biomedical Research Conference & 2013 International Symposium on aging biology and diseases

 

         

         为推动与澳大利亚医学、生物学研究的进一步合作，作为澳大利亚华人生物医学协会主席，刘俊平教授积极倡导和推动第四届中国澳大利亚医学生物学研究大会于2013年10月10-13日在杭州召开，任大会主席。中国澳大利亚医学生物学研究大会由澳大利亚华人生物医学协会举办，每两年召开一次，在中国和澳大利亚轮流举行。会议由杭州市主办，杭州师范大学承办，得到了学校大力支持，并与多家机构（包括浙江大学和杭州未来科技城海创园）合作，届时将有医学生理学诺贝尔奖得主到大会做报告，并访问杭州师范大学，中澳医学生物学科学家、生物技术及制药方面的专家和企业家、学生学者等近300人参会交流。第四届中国澳大利亚医学生物学研究大会暨2013国际衰老生物学及衰老疾病研讨会在杭州召开，将为2013年杭州市西湖博览会的一部分，为杭州市争得荣誉，将推动了中澳两国在医学生物学研究、生物技术和制药产业研发的广泛交流、合作与发展，为杭州市的发展、杭师大和杭州未来科技城的发展、中澳的长远合作与共同发展做出贡献。为推动合作项目进展，派助理研究员王建秋老师赴台湾国立阳明大学进行为期一年的进修和科研合作。

The 4th Australia China Biomedical Research Conference (ACBRC)/International Symposium on Ageing Biology and Diseases was held in Hangzhou from 10th Oct to 13th Oct 2013. This event attracted over 150 top scientists and researchers from China, Australia, United States, Japan, Canada, France, Singapore and Hong Kong etc. and around 150 viewers and staff. It was the first ever Institute of Ageing Research (IAR) Hangzhou Normal University event of such scale at which we were able to reach out to a further and broader interdisciplinary communication and collaboration between China and Australia. The main objective of the Conference was to promote collaboration and the exchange of research outcomes in biological and clinical research and facilitate the rapid development of biomedical research in ageing-related diseases. To that effect, the Conference symposiums were well designed to provide participants with a wide variety of themes/topics that would allow them to look for and find out potential new research orientations during the implementation of its excellent agenda.

2. 2016 International Conference on Aging Research: Molecular Mechanisms and Associated Diseases.

 

         2016年国际衰老研究大会：衰老及相关疾病的分子机制2016年9月9日-11日在杭州召开，由杭州师范大学、中国老年医学研究机构联盟、中国老年医学学会基础与转化医学分会、中国老年学学会衰老与抗衰老科学委员会联合组织此次国际科学研究会议。会议邀请12名国际衰老领域不同方面的顶尖级专家和我国全国各地专家学者，进行全天候的深入、广泛、细致和具体的交流。会议涵盖所有衰老、健康老化、寿命调控与长寿、衰老相关疾病（包括神经、心血管、肾脏、干细胞等）。会议内容还涵盖了包括端粒相关蛋白的结构基础、线粒体结构与功能、表达调控、细胞分化、组织和器官特征及衰老模型等。力求既全面系统又层次分明的交流最新研究进展及将来研究方向展望。本次会议对基础研究及相关产业和技术的发展起很大的推动作用，提升我国学术地位及国际影响力。

Aging has been a serious issue that we are facing in China. How to actively engage in scientific research into the mechanisms of premature aging and aging related diseases has been a significant challenge to scientist and researchers. To focus on innovative and translational research, Hangzhou Normal University Institute of Aging Research, National Association of Aging Research Organization (NARO), Anti-aging Branch of Chinese Society of Gerontology and Geriatrics, the Basic Research and Translational Medicine of Chinese Geriatrics Society (BRTMCGS) plan to organize an international conference to cope with the needs and challenges in aging and longevity research in China. Aim of the International Conference is to promote the exchanges of research outcomes and collaboration in aging biological and clinical research, the basic research and facilitate the rapid development of biomedical research in aging-related.
